The weather did not look promising first thing Sunday morning. A quick phone call to John Fenato confirmed that the fishing day was still on. Meeting at McDonalds at Narellan, only a few brave souls turned up. I am starting to get the impression that it must not have rained back in 1955, 1956 and 1957 otherwise why the small turn out? With the boot packed with fishing tackle, beer and food we all headed off for the pleasant drive out to Theresa Park. A couple of more chevs met us out there - we parked the cars and set up our fishing lines. The day turned out a beaut, I even managed some sunburn. Plenty of fish to catch from the dam, enough to keep me interested anyway and I am not a fisherman! Top catch for males went for a 5.5lb carp. The kids all got a small prize each. I managed second at 4 lb and my partner, Glynnis was was awarded top female fisher-person with a 4.5lb beauty. A big thanks to John Fenato for organising the day and to our hosts, who have asked us back for another go. I will let the photos that follow tell their own story. |
